His leadership and dedication continued at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), where he earned a degree in Criminal Justice and found his calling in law enforcement.
Evan joined the Henrico County Police Department in May 2011, determined to make a difference in his community. Over the years, he became known for his professionalism, kindness, and tireless work ethic.
Service as a School Resource Officer
In 2016, Officer O’Dell began serving as a School Resource Officer (SRO) at Freeman High School. In this role, he provided safety and security while becoming a trusted mentor to students.
